Description: Carry A Tune Collection. 64 graded MS-66 RD, 12 higher at PCGS. Less and less scarce as the years go by, 1911-D has seen its population elevate quite a bit even at the "very gem red" level over the years, to the point that what used to be a $15,000 coin can now be had for a comparatively attractive price, even with full mint color. Opportunity knocks with this beautiful cherry-red example, which offers an unexpectedly decent strike for a branch-mint issue. The dies are a bit worn as usually seen, such that fatigue has caused a weaker mintmark and some loss of precision in the upper lapel.
