Description:	It is no secret that modern Chinese rarities are among the most sought after segments in today’s numismatic market. With miniscule mintages and an ever growing demand these Chinese Panda gold proof sets are becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain. This lot features a five coin proof set from the year of 1987 and 1988. Both sets come with their original wooden boxes and certificates but only the 1987 set has the original outer cardboard box. The only noteworthy issue is that 1988 /2oz. panda does appear to have been cleaned at some point in the past. Each set was limited to a mintage of only 10,000 sets and each set contains five coins totaling 1.90oz. AGW (ck).
