Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1901-S PCGS MS-64+ CACCAC
Lot Number: 451
Description: Bert Davies Collection. 48 graded MS-64+, 347 higher at PCGS. The fact that "1901-S" is a key in other silver series tends to spill that reputation over to the silver dollar of like moniker, but truth be told, the date is reasonably approachable even near the "gem" level. That said, this is an unusually attractive example that lacks the obverse marks that affect many inferior specimens, while the reverse shows only a single mentionable abrasion on the eagle's breast. Phenomenally exuberant luster electrifies the fields, and attractive amber-gold drapes inward from the rim.
