Description: Bert Davies Collection. An incredibly full, deep strike immediately marks the quality as being a bit superior to a typical "very choice" example, although 1890-CC does often come at least nicely struck. In accounting for the grade, examination shows a brief, linear contact mark dangling from behind the nostril, but any complaint here is surpassed by clean fields, and highly attractive super-fine matte frost throughout.
