Description: Forest Park Collection II. Technically, the 1883-S can be found produced at almost the same, remarkable level of fineness seen within 1879-S through 1882-S, but the date must have been subjected to excessive circulation and melting, because it proves to be highly elusive near the "choice" level despite a high mintage well over 6-million. PCGS does not quite see this as an MS-63, but at first blush, most bidders would not see it out of place in such a holder. Full, blazing luster lights up the fields, showing only trivial weakness near the central fields. Powerfully struck, nearly to the verge of perfection and essentially white.
