Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1878 7/8TF Strong, 1879-O, and 1891-S, all PCGS MS-63 CACCAC
Lot Number: 291
Description: Bert Davies Collection. Some rim toning permeates the obverse and especially the reverse of 1878 "7/8TF, and the cheek and fields are unusually clean for only the "choice" level. The reverse of 1879-O has become fully saturated in deep neon-violet, indigo, sea-green and ruby gold, which makes one suspect the coin should have been certified with the reverse facing, although the obverse features a lengthy, vivid but narrow band of deep-ocean and cinnamon that is very attractive. Finally, an exceptionally wide band of denim-blue and emerald surrounds the reverse of 1891-S, while the obverse sees a wide crescent of similar tone along the left rim. Three coin lot.
