Description: Strongberg Consignment. VAM-4 has the best overdate in the series, with 1880/79-CC readily visible and paired to a "reverse of 1878". NGC did not add a "star" designation, which seems almost a travesty given the sensational, electrifying bag-toning seen on the reverse. This side features densely saturated bands of deep ocean-blue, crimson-gold, forest-green, magenta, and sunrise-gold in a mind-bending pattern down the reverse. The MS-62 grade properly reflects a fully abraded cheek, followed by deeper abrasions on the neck.
