Description: Seemingly affected by unknown residue, the 1881 "repunched date" now appears layered in lavender-grey with occasional splashes of fragmented, golden hue. The second "8" has been nicely repunched. 1882 displays exceptionally attractive, crystal-bright luster and rather stunning eye-appeal for an eagle graded only at the "choice" level. Two coin lot.
