Description: Silver Rays Collection. An exceedingly precise strike appears to have imparted the last possible detail to an exquisite level of sharpness. A fair number of Isabella quarters are known to have been struck with prooflike characteristics (in addition to the few rare actual proof strikings, of course), and the cataloger would like to suggest this may be at least a semi-prooflike example beneath wave after wave of deep toning. Rust-grey hues dominate each side, although the peripheral areas flaunt a substantial amount of cobalt and sea-green iridescence when viewed under a strong lamp, and this exact lighting condition also allows for appreciation of the punchy, flashy surfaces.
