Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1934-S PCGS MS-66
Lot Number: 976
Description: 155 graded MS-66, 27 higher at PCGS. Popularity of the "short set" of Walking Liberty half-dollars has brought to light the true scarcity of 1934-S such that many consider it the true key to such a series (if one extends the short set to begin with 1934, rather than 1941). Traces of carrot-gold toning shimmer across the entire surface, brilliantly illuminated by potent underlying luster. Rather well defined with the central hand possessing most of the detail intended by the dies, and the reverse definitely seems to exceed the norm for the date, given strongly outlined feathers at the eagle's left (observed) leg.
