Description: 266 graded MS-64, 75 higher at PCGS. Although not fully struck, the detailing overall offers a slight improvement over a typical, flat example of 1917-S. Including the much tougher "obverse mintmark", this an elusive issue at MS-64, especially given the popularity of the series, and fortunate is the collector who steps up to acquire such a pretty, almond-gold example. Very few marks disturb the surface, with the grade almost certainly determined by a couple of light, linear abrasions above IGWT.
