Description: KM# 230. Mintage: 2,139. The aesthetically pleasing Peruvian 50-soles was struck in limited numbers that would be the envy of a "key" in any United States series, and 1960's mintage is one of the lowest. Indeed, it is remarkable that a "superb Gem" could even exist, as these actually did circulate, and some have been seen as low as the Fine level! An astounding, richly tinted example whose only complaint might be a pale grey streak on the reverse toward the upper right.
