Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1884 PCGS MS-66 CACCAC
Lot Number: 918
Description: Mintage: 4,400. 18 graded MS-66, 11 higher at PCGS. As if preserved like a proof of the same vintage (for which the 1884 circulation strike has a well-deserved doppelganger's reputation), stunning tone has seized hold of the eye-appeal, draping most of each side in luminescent denim-grey, surrounded by a blazing chartreuse-gold halo. This is an extremely well-struck specimen that probably spent some time being ascertained for proof status, but the non-squared rims affirm the properly certified mint-state status. A single tiny planchet fleck above Liberty's foot could serve as a pedigree marker.
