Description: The Before Collection. None is attributed within this quintet of capped-bust half-dollars, and all offer outstanding sharpness in keeping with grades near the XF grade level. They may be summarized as follows: 1813 (XF-40, absolutely gorgeous and original with sky-blue and navy visible toward the lower obverse), 1818 (XF/improperly toned, lightly cleaned at some point with some attractive yet questionably hued iridescence), 1819/8 (VF-30, doubled profile, a bit bright but not unpleasantly so), 1822 (XF-40, boldly sharp with modest luster and pale grey patina), and 1825 (VF-35, pleasing original that probably has XF detail but netted down a few points due to reedmarks on the cheek and a few faint, old scratches in the obverse left field). Five coin lot.
