Description: The Before Collection. Overton-102a has the "1" slightly embedded into the curl and the final star very close to the upper curved edge of the bust, and in this terrific, late die-state, there is considerable die-clash action to be enjoyed, resulting in multiple die-cracks on the reverse. Light lavender-grey patina embraces the obverse while the reverse features some delicate honey-orange toning toward the lower areas. Possibly lightly cleaned at one time, the appearance seems more than compatible with a "very fine" grade at this point.
