Description: 28 graded MS-65, 19 higher at NGC. A tremendous mintage of 7.37-million examples relegates most 1858 quarters to type status, but any aficionado of the series would be more than delighted to acquire a blistering, razor-sharp Gem like this. The satin-laden fields launch blazing luster all over their nearly mark-absent texture, providing strong illumination for the powerfully delineated design. A couple of stars at far right barely lack absolutely completeness, but all are fully segmented, and the eagle presents an absolutely full complement of feathers.
