Lot Title: 1846 Seated dollar and an 1873-S with arrows Seated quarter, both PCGS VF-35
Lot Number: 651
Description: The 1846 dollar truly does appear to be fully "extremely fine", and this is a stunningly original coin with no problems, so one might well be puzzled as to why PCGS didn't just place it at the bottom rung of that grade. Minimal contact marks are irrelevant within this grade range. The 1873-S "with arrows" quarter faces up as a fully original example as well, but here, the details are clearly in keeping with the accurate VF-35 grade, and even some vague, erratic old hairline scratches in the obverse left field will prove to be irrelevant. Really a nice type pairing within this two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
