Lot Title: 1923 VAM-1A PCGS MS-64, 1926 VAM-2 ANACS MS-63, and a 1934-D VAM-3 PCGS MS-63
Lot Number: 621
Description: J. Mainstream Collection. Attributions as listed have been provided by the grading services, which is a good thing since few collectors have the patience to locate nicer VAMs for themselves, within the Peace dollar series! First is 1923 VAM-1A, Top-50 "whisker jaw", one of the best VAMs and an easy eye-attribution that has a sizeable die gouge visible at the junction of Liberty's neck and jaw. Next is 1926 VAM-2 "doubled die reverse", with the pickup point readily visible as doubling at DOLLAR and within the olive sprigs below. (Cataloger's note: the slab is badly cracked on the reverse.) Last is a 1934-D VAM-3, Top-50 "doubled die obverse, medium mintmark", this attribution picked up rather easily by noticing the doubling of IN GOD WE and the strongly doubled profile. Great selection of better VAMs within this three coin lot!
