Description: 261 in AU-53 and 1,445 higher at NGC. 1893 is a tough year for Morgan dollars. Issues from all mints are semi-key (or key in the case of the 1893-S) in the series. The current New Orleans example comes from an original mintage of only 300,000 coins and is in an NGC AU-53 holder. This example is extremely nice for its assigned grade with even wear and remaining mint luster. No major marks or distractions. A great coin for the Morgan dollar specialist looking to secure one of the semi-key dates (ls).
