Description: Earlier dates comprise this pair of quarter-eagles, although both are reasonably common issues within the series. Only modestly glossy surfaces and a couple of faint scratches in the reverse right field separates the 1853 from mint-state. 1861 displays outright pinpoint details and a lot of luster for the AU-55 grade. Neither coin suffers any notable distractions within this two coin lot.
