Type set collectors often go after the 1836 $2.5 for inclusion in their sets as it is more readily available than other years; that being said, examples are not usually as nice as this lots NGC AU-58 example. Bright golden luster is only held back by moderate wear on the high-points of the design. A perfect example for any type set collector looking for classic head quarter-eagle (ls).
