Description: Interesting tone patterns flow over a pair of 1925-S California half-dollars. The NGC MS-64 obverse displays leaden, iron-grey with a minority of silver peeking through, while the reverse inverts this scheme. A broad splash of honey-orange on the obverse of the PCGS MS-65 invites one to ponder how it came to be, even though the reverse is blast white. Two coin lot.
