Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1834 Small Date, Small Letters PCGS MS-62
Lot Number: 863
Description: Overton-117 is a somewhat nondescript die-marriage for which the first star is distant from the bust, and on the reverse, "A" in STATES shows trivial repunching below the left side of the crossbar. Excellent eye-appeal will prove irresistible for many bidders drawn to original, toned coins, as the dusky emerald-grey and robust midnight shades proclaim a strong degree of vintage preservation. The obverse die produced fairly nice detail overall, while the reverse seems even sharper by contrast, displaying nicely sculpted feathers and powerfully separated segments within the eagle's talons.
