Lot Title: 1826 O-105, R.3 UNC
Lot Number: 858
Description: The Quantum Collection. Overton-105 features a lengthy obverse die crack that connects the first seven stars, trails over the top of the date, and extends all the way above the final two stars. It's a die-marriage known in high grade, with the present example showing auspicious claims on a fully original surface. Gorgeous platinum-grey cedes to pale orange and olive iridescence. Our grade estimate for the time being is only MS-60/PVC residue, but professional conservation will readily remove the handful of greenish crumbs, and probably push the grade to MS-62.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
