Description: The Quantum Collection. Overton-101 identifies instantly with the 1808/7 obverse, and while it is a common die-marriage, the exuberant popularity of overdates within the series guarantees a lavish example like this will receive strong bids from our audience. Gleaming mint luster frolics within the fields and reaches past the stars, providing substantially better "life" than is most often seen for the issue. Platinum-rose and ocean-blue tones enrich the eye-appeal and give strong indications of a reasonably original surface. Being struck with the same motifs as the preceding year, the broad portrait almost never gets a full strike, and even this lovely example features some modest flatness, although the eagle's left (observed) wing definitely shows better sharpness than usual.
