Lot Title: Seven two-cent pieces
Lot Number: 686
Description: The Quantum Collection. Collector appeal: "very much worth a look". A group of 2-cent pieces basically just lacks keys to form a complete set. We see these with grade estimates as: 1864 large motto (MS-63 RB, struck from failing dies), 1865 (MS-63 BN, delightful), 1867 double die (AU, rotated reverse die), 1868 (MS-60/altered surface, but looks like a mostly red UNC at first glance), 1869 (AU), 1870 (MS-63 BN, wonderfully original), and 1871 (MS-60/scratched). Seven coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
