Description: Filled In Collection. Can a 1955 doubled-die cent look better in the AU-55 grade than this strictly original PCGS example? Probably not, given the smooth, near-immaculate brown patina and well-preserved details seen here. So-called "wear" appears to be defined by nothing more than a thinning of the patina over the high points, and only a handful of utterly trivial contact marks from circulation can be found on the obverse.
