Description: The Quantum Collection. Newcomb-10 is the familiar and famous Randall Hoard variety that combines with 1820 N-13 to comprise the vast majority of UNC cents from that discovery. The NGC MS-62 RB grade is most puzzling because the cataloger has personally handled dozens of these, and in years past, this would have been a shoe-in for MS-63 RB, if not higher. Typically stained with faded grey, the surface shows no more than the normal small abrasions expected, and this cent is point-blank destined for an upgrade.
