Description: Sheldon-8, with viewing of the vine-and-bars edge sadly impeded by the slab insert. Due to the heavy and modestly uneven wear, it isn't possible to reliably ascertain the die-state, but this appears to be an earlier state. PCGS references rim damage, which is an accurate statement given the number of broad but shallow bumps along the entire circumference on both sides, but this not much worse than what is seen for many mishandled examples. For that matter, the color and technical surface quality are not at all that bad, marred only by a number of widespread, old ticks.
