Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1881-S MS-66, 1881-S MS-66+, and an 1881-S MS-66PL, all PCGS
Lot Number: 456
Description: Collector appeal: "stupendous". Slight variance in grade, according to PCGS, precludes these from being identical triplets, yet the quality dangles tantalizingly in front of the viewer for all of them. First is the MS-66 which displays outrageously attractive luster and cameo effect, in part because of faint die rust texture on the cheek. The MS-66+ fell of the same dies, and has distinctly fewer micro-ticks in the field. Finally, the MS-66 PL blows right past any expectations of quality, showing sensational luster and fabulous white-on-black cameo quality. Pure white brilliance within this three coin lot.
