Description: The Quantum Collection. Bolender-5, BB-27 gets instantly identified by the short, diagonal die line just left of the top hair curl. This is easily the most common 1795 bust dollar die-marriage, an absolute workhorse for the mint, and nearly an absolute must-get for the type collector who wants to pony up for a high-grade 1795. Remarkable mint luster remains present on this piece, displayed as curving windmills on the reverse, while percolating activity roams through LIBERTY and the obverse stars. Fascinating, deep orange-rose color vastly saturates the surface, relieved on both sides by crimson-grey and dappled olive tones. Far surpassing expectations, there are simply no mentionable contact marks - an astounding benefit for a circulated early silver type of this heft and size.
