Description: San Francisco struck more than a million twenties in the final year of the Civil War, and it remains relatively plentiful today, in part because of strong representation in the S.S. Brother Jonathan hoard. This example seems a bit roughly circulated, with innumerable tiny contact marks in the fields and some greyish residue scattered here and there. Still, it retains a bit of luster and, of course, bold detail.
