Lot Title: Two encased postage stamps
Lot Number: 1008
Description: The Quantum Collection. First is HB-81, EP-10 (R.6) "Burnett's Standard Cooking Extract" 1-cent, this example graded Choice very-fine by the cataloger, as it shows fair grey luster on the reverse, the mica seems intact, and the stamp appears to be fresh and pristine. A rare and exciting find for the collector. Also included is the more common HB-101, EP-42 "Drake's Plantation Bitters" 3-cent, this example only Fine or so, and showing significant fading of the stamp, as well as improper sealing of the mica at bottom. Quite underrated value in this two item lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
