Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1904-O PCGS MS-64 CACCAC
Lot Number: 912
Description: Shawl Consignment. 17 graded MS-64, 13 higher at PCGS. Ex-Heritage, 6/2/2003, Long Beach, $7,465. Uncharacteristic for a New Orleans product, the entire coin was exceptionally well struck, right down to the individually delineated segments in the eagle's talons. Utterly radiant, satin-roll white brilliance looks suitable on a coin graded at the gem level, and mere splashes of tobacco-brown may be seen on each side. CAC seems to love the coin at MS-64, but for the sake of collectors of strict premium quality, the cataloger feels compelled to note that the obverse has a lot of contact marks, albeit they are minuscule and widespread.
