Description: Overton-105 in this early die-state has a network of very fine die-cracks around the date, and the reverse shows a comparatively large, crude center dot in the fifth crossbar of the shield. Two delicate pinscratches, one at the end of the bust and the other pointing between "81" are cleverly masquerading as additional die-cracks and will induce a double-take with the serious Overton specialist taking stock of the die-state. Rather minimal luster accompanies this choice example, but the details jut up boldly from the fields. Why is a grader's hair embedded in the far right edge of Liberty's tresses? You tell me.
