Description: 1875/1875. 26 graded MS-65, 6 higher at NGC. Obvious doubling of the date appears very much like strike-doubling at first glance, but this same characteristic can be seen on many other 1875 nickels, suggesting the possibility of errant punching in the die. A single distraction may be found for this lovely platinum-blonde nickel, a carbon stain beneath the first "T" in TRUST.
