Lot Title: Collection of 44 large cents
Lot Number: 516
Description: Alpha Collection. Rapid Reaction: "jump start". Launching the collector into a bigger and better set as these are added to and upgraded, this group of large-cents will see to it that the new owner takes a big swipe at a date and major variety set. Early pieces include 1794 (VG/corroded), 1796 draped bust (G/surface damage), and a handful of additional draped bust examples in the net AG to Good range. An 1814 (Good and smooth) is the only classic head preceding a lengthy run of matron and coronet head cents, ending with 1857 (VF/corroded). In between is a significant variety of dates and grades that probably average VG to Fine, surprisingly represented mostly by very decent pieces. Forty-four coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
