Description: Samuel Lawrence Collection. Cleaning as a disclaimer understates the severity of whatever process affected the obverse, as this side has become heavily abraded, perhaps in an attempt to eradicate three lengthy scratches in the left field. The reverse seems perfectly unaffected and, all by itself, presents everything one wishes for in an AU silver dollar. An unbecoming fate for such a well-recognized key in the Morgan dollar series.
