Lot Title: 1879-S PCGS MS-67
Lot Number: 391
Description: The MS-67 grade typically gets reserved for modern dollars that soar beyond expectations of the gem grade, but this astonishing 1879-S provides a stunning example of how great a 140 year old coin can look with proper preservation. Exceedingly well defined, each of the individual feathers at the end of the arrow shaft displays pronounced delineation. An even higher grade might be considered if not for modest surface grazes in the field, right of the eagle; the obverse nears perfection.
