Description: Nomad-Sickle Collection. KM#82.2. Mintage: 148,000. With the obverse volcano motif, this Latin Republic crown-sized is popular with collectors and somewhat elusive in better grades. AU-58 is appropriate for the modest level of rub seen here, as the deep, swooping field luster remains virtually intact and lovely. These were often struck on planchets of questionable quality, but not so in this case, as there are none of the voids and fissures usually seen.
