Lot Title: Seven US type coins, plus two ancient coins, all certified.
Lot Number: 843
Description: No Land Consignment. Upstart variety includes mostly U.S. type coins, but the curious addition of a huge Ptolemaic Kingdom copper (NGC 5/5, 2/5) and a much smaller Roman Empire Lugdunum copper (NGC 5/5, 3/5) only add interest. U.S. coins begin with a lone PCGS 1870-S half-dollar (VF-30, amazingly original) and a single ANACS 1907-D quarter (XF-45, perfect circulated color). The rest are NGC coins, quickly listed as follows: 1844 large-cent "partial collar" mint error (VF-35), 1860 Indian cent "pointed bust" (XF-40), 1866 "rays" shield nickel (AU-50), 1911-D Barber dime (AU-50), and 1898 quarter (XF-40). Nine coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
