Description: No Land Consignment. 1939-S was the beginning of a run of generally poor strikes for San Francisco, although this PCGS gem example actually shows fair central details, along with unmarked surfaces. The 1941-S is particularly well-known for impossible sharpness, yet this NGC gem defies the odds and features better-than-expected central definition beneath terrific, original frosty grey patina. Premium quality for recognized strike-rarities in this two coin lot.
