Lot Title: 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter PCGS AU-53
Lot Number: 634
Description: Blackjack Can Collection. Mintage: 52,000. Tantalizing luster still emanates from each side, with the reverse showing particularly noticeable swirling effect within the fields, augmented by a fragile touch of platinum-apricot color. The 1916 quarter infrequently appears with full-head details at the mint-state levels, but even this about-uncirculated example features a fair portion of boldness at her nose and eye, and the eagle's extended feathers are sharp as can be. Only honest rub accounts for the grade, as the surface appears to be completely free from any signs of contact or unseemly damage, ensuring premier quality at the grade level. A terrific example for the many aficionados of the series who are unwilling to extend their cost toward the high price of an uncirculated coin.
