Description: Blackjack Can Collection. Mintage: 44,200. While the "with arrows" issue is one of the most common issues within the Seated Liberty quarter series, it is quite a different story for the very difficult 1853 "no arrows", and this example shows the usual repunched date. A tiny extra flag on the "5" and an extra ball on the top of the "3" identify this. The gunmetal-grey surface exhibits very slight underlying glossiness for this bold example, with unperturbed rims encircling a nearly unblemished surface. LIBERTY stands up boldly, showing trivial weakness only at the "L".
