Lot Title: Twenty-six different half-cents in a Dansco 7098 album
Lot Number: 413
Description: Blackjack Can Collection. 1800 (G), 1803 (VG), and 1804 cross4, stems (VG/burnished) are the only examples present on the exceptionally difficult first page. Seven additional half-cents of highly acceptable caliber appear on the second page (1804 - 1811), including 1806 large 6, stems (Fine) and very importantly, 1811 (Fine-plus for details, super color, but with isolated surface issues and evidently signs of an old cleaning). Only 1828 13-stars and the 1837 half-cent "token" are missing from the third page, with these examples typically VG to Fine, and the final page has the half-dozen dates from 1851 - 1857 grading essentially Fine or better. A pleasing starter set that already includes one very tough key in the 1811.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
