The San Francisco issues for 1924-S, 1927-S and 1928-S are the only Peace dollar issues that exceed the 1924-S in terms of elusiveness; even 1928 and 1934-S are no match for its scarcity at the gem level. For such an esteemed condition-rarity, at this grade, there should no question about eye-appeal, and there is appeal-aplenty for this thickly lustrous example. Liberty's cheek shows zero noticeable abrasions at arm's length, and stunning, vigorous luster simply flies around the beautifully die-polished fields.
