Description: VAM-5 has the second "C" in the mintmark doubled, and judging by the extent of die-cracks on the reverse, this appears to be in a die-state between the prime and "A" states. MS-63 is the magic grade at which 1890-CC is double the cost of the next lower grade, yet only half the cost of the next higher. Magnificent, flashing luster creates the impression of slightly higher grade consideration, but perhaps some light hairlines on the portrait deny upgrade.
