  • Lot #688 - 1934-S PCGS AU-58
  • Silver Dollar-Peace
  • Easily mistaken for UNC at first glance, whisper-light bone-grey patina diffuses gossamer wear on either side. That being said, tilting the coin hard under a lamp helps to reveal a delicate layer of greenish haze that may clamor for professional conservation.

  • Lot #789 - 1934-D PCGS MS-65 (green label)
  • Hammer: $750
  • Half Dollars-Walking Liberty
  • Very good detail at the hand helps to suggest an overall bold strike, which is further endorsed by stunning, vivid aluminum-white luster. An extremely faint abrasion lands in the obverse right field is of no consequence and the balance of both sides sport near-immunity to any other contact marks.

  • Lot #253 - Twelve Uncirculated type coins, all NGC (no line)
  • Hammer: $825
  • Collector Lots-U.S. Type
  • Where do we draw the line? This is a very attractive group lot of twelve NGC "no line" holder coins that includes the following eight MS-67 war-time Jefferson nickels: a 1942-S, a 1943-P, a 1943-S, a1944-P, a 1944-D, a 1944-S, a 1945-P, and a 1945-D. The final four pieces of this numismatic puzzle includes an 1882 MS-63 Morgan dollar, 1n 1897 MS-64 Morgan dollar, an 1945-D Walking Liberty half-dollar, and a 1937-S Buffalo nickel. While each of these appear to be very conservatively graded, the toning of the 1882 Morgan stands out from the crowd (ck).
