12 graded MS-65, 17 higher at PCGS. As with many Barber dimes, the gem population drops off a cliff for 1899-S, this one being above-average in terms of visual appeal. The generally orange-beige obverse features a substantial swath of indigo and cinnamon-magenta around two-thirds of the periphery while a hint of similar coloration spills over on the reverse left edge. A fully struck example filled with vigorous luster.
