Ther is a beautiful mixture of gorgeously toned and blast white examples that have all been assigned lofty grades that most would consider a bit too high based on current grading standards. Included in this eye catching group lot are the following issues: an 1879-O PCI MS-65, an 1880-O NTC MS-65, an 1880-S NTC MS-68, an 1881-O NTC MS-66, an 1882-O NTC MS-65, an 1883-O NTC MS-67, an 1884-O NTC MS-67, an 1885-O NTC MS-67, an 1887-O NTC MS-66, an 1888-O NTC MS-66, an 1889-O CRC MS-63, an 1891-O NTC MS-65, an 1898-O NTC MS-66, an 1899-O NTC MS-67, a 1900-O NTC MS-67, a 1901-O NTC MS-67, a 1902-O NTC MS-67, a 1904-O NTC MS-67, and a 1921 NTC MS-67. Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Breezy L Collection. Mintage: 30,000. While not a key to the New Orleans emissions, 1857-O represents a somewhat more difficult date and one often found problematic. PCGS calls out minor scratches on both sides, which would almost certainly be forgivable if they did appear surprisingly fresh, or if, for example, one or two off right of the portrait had not been imparted. A little glossy overall but by no means an unacceptable representative for a collector.
